The California Justice40 Act
With a historic amount of funding coming to California from the federal government thanks to the passage of the Infrastructure Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, we must ensure that these investments are made equitably. AB 2419 would have implemented the federal Justice40 Initiative in California by requiring 40% of federal climate and infrastructure funds to benefit disadvantaged communities, with an additional 10% to low-income communities.
