AB 1757

Nature Based Carbon Removal Targets

This bill leverages the power of our natural and working lands, including our forests, rangelands, urban green spaces, wetlands, and farms, to remove past carbon pollution from the atmosphere, to restore biodiversity, and to provide cleaner air and water for all Californians. AB 1757 does this by requiring the state to develop an achievable carbon removal target for California’s natural and working lands, enlisting nature’s inherent ability to help in our fight against the climate crisis
